Launched Sept 12, 2009 at The Dory Shop in Lunenburg, NS.This boat is the ideal little family cruiser. A kind of family dog of boats, one that doesn't bite, can take abuse, maybe some neglect and still be well behaved. The kind of boat kids can grow up with, the wife can get involved in, stand tall at the awards ceremony and can be passed down to the next generation, all the while regal and splendid. A Tancook inspired design of the Sea Change genre. That is, the profile is just about that of Sea Change, with the elliptical raking transom, healthy shear line and spoon bow. She has a similar beam to length ratio with no centreboard but a deeper underbody. Planking is heritage yellow hard pine rift sawn on the top, with hackmatack and white oak on the bottom She is fastened with bronze screws and copper rivets to white oak steam bent frames and hackmatack knees for floor timbers and e-motor for auxiliary propulsion. The rig is hollow black spruce spars carrying the all powerful overlapping fore'sl. This boat is a simple yet fast coastal cruiser/racer unencumbered by too many systems.
